MY CORNER by Boyd

“Conservative”
Leaders Collapse, Embrace Leftist Narrative
Friends,
Two
remarkable examples of a theme I’ve been stressing for some time: that the
mainstream so-called “Conservative Movement” (i.e., under the leadership of the
Neoconservatives and establishment GOP) has been moving to the Left…and at an
increasingly rapid pace.
First,
there is fair-headed youngster Ben Shapiro, so favored by Fox News as a pundit “on
everything,” and boosted as the “conservative spokesman” on college campuses.
His latest move is to defend the viciously and radically hateful anti-white
Sarah Jeong, who has been hired on as editorial page writer for The New York Times. Not one word, not a
peep about Jeong’s vitriolic, foul-mouthed hatred and encouragement to commit
violence against white folk, just Shapiro’s praise for the increasingly Leftist
Times’ defense of Jeong (“free speech,” you know). Shapiro congratulates the
Times for resisting the calls for Jeong’s correction or dismissal, yet this is
the same “little Ben” Shapiro who
praised ABC’s summary firing of Roseanne Barr immediately after she made some supposedly racist comments (which
pale in comparison with what Jeong has tweeted out). So, Ben,
is it okay to make horribly disparaging racist comments about white people, but
it’s a fireable offense to do so against blacks? Is this where your Never
Trump increasingly Leftist conservatism is leading? Ever hear of the “Pied Piper
of Hamelin”—the ancient German legend, “Rattenfanger von Hamelin”—who led the
town’s children astray?

Huh? BEN SHAPIRO Heaps Praises on the NY Times For Standing by Racist Sarah Jeong After Defending Pedo-Tweeting James Gunn

The
New York Times announced this week that Sarah Jeong would be
the newest member to their editorial board.
Jeong’s
Twitter feed is FILLED with
racist white-hating filth.
After major backlash from the
conservative media over Jeong’s racist tweets, The New York Times
released a statement standing by their new hire; they even painted Jeong as a
victim.
“Her journalism and the fact that she is a young Asian woman have made her the
subject of frequent online harassment. For a period of time she responded to
that harassment by imitating the rhetoric of her harassers,” The NY Times said
in a PR statement.
The Editor-in-Chief of the Daily Wire, Ben
Shapiro, heaped praises on The New York Times Thursday for standing by
their new hire, Sarah Jeong even though she has been sending out dozens of vicious
anti-white racist tweets. Ben Shapiro tweeted: “Good for The New York Times. This
will blow over, but it does indeed demonstrate that there is a massive double
standard on such hirings in the media, and in media coverage.”
Last week Ben Shapiro
defended James Gunn who posted dozens and possibly hundreds of
sick pedophile tweets. But Ben Shapiro agreed with ABC for firing Roseanne!

The
second example comes in the less exalted realm of politics, and it involves the
latest antics of inveterate Never Trumper Senator Jeff Flake (R-Arizona), who,
thankfully, is not running for re-election to the US Senate from Arizona (his
poll numbers were dismal). Flake was over in Zimbabwe to observe that country’s
first real election in three decades and since the death of unhinged dictator
Robert Mugabe. Recall, Flake has been an acerbic critic of President Trump,
accusing him of being an “authoritarian dictator” who wished to “destroy our
democracy.” Yet, there he was in Zimbabwe, which has absolutely no experience
in free elections, praising the contested razor-thin victory by Mugabe’s
political party—“Democracy doesn’t get any better than this”! Well, maybe in
Major Daley’s Chicago or in the inner city of Philadelphia, or perhaps when
Republicans like Jeff Flake are in the driver’s seat lecturing us on the
dangers of Donald Trump’s “authoritarian impulse”?

Jeff Flake on Zimbabwe’s Disputed Election: ‘Democracy Doesn’t Get Any Better Than This’
Joel Pollack
3 Aug 2018
Sen. Jeff Flake (R-AZ) is in Zimbabwe to observe the country’s first elections after the ouster of tyrant Robert Mugabe last year — and although the opposition claims the vote count was rigged, and the army has killed six protesters, Flake has blessed the result.
“It’s time for a new era of peace and prosperity,” Flake tweeted
on Thursday, a day after the protesters were killed demonstrating against what
the opposition alleges is fraud by the ruling party.
Emmerson
Mnangagwa of Mugabe’s Zimbabwe African National Union -Popular Front (Zanu-PF)
party was declared the winner by the curiously narrow margin of 50.8% — “just
enough to scrape through the constitutional threshold of 50 percent plus one
vote required to avoid a runoff,” according to the African News Agency (ANA). Mnangagwa defeated Nelson
Chamisa of the Movement for Democratic Change (MDC), which called the result “fake.”
Flake had made no comment about the violence as of Friday
morning. He also seemed less concerned than other international observers.
According to
the Associated Press, “So far international
observers have issued mixed reviews, calling Monday’s election peaceful and a
break from the past but expressing grave concern about the military’s
‘excessive’ use of force. They criticized the [three-day] delay in releasing
the results of the presidential vote, saying it raised concerns about possible
manipulation.”
Flake seemed unconcerned about the Zimbabwean military, or
whether the election was free and fair. At one point, observing a primitive
hand count of votes by the light of kerosene lamps, he even tweeted: “Democracy
doesn’t get any better than this.”
Flake, a
prominent figure in the “Never Trump” movement, has been one of
President Donald Trump’s most vociferous critics, comparing the president to totalitarian dictators
like Soviet tyrant Joseph Stalin. “How did we get swept up in this global
resurgence of the authoritarian impulse, which now has democracies teetering on
the brink, strongmen placing themselves above the law, and in our own country a
leader who reveres some of the most loathsome enemies of democracy in our
time?” Flake asked Harvard Law School
graduates in May. [….]
Last month,
Flake slammed Trump for his meeting
with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Helsinki, Finland, declaring that
Trump had “failed to summon reality in the face of a despot.”

These
examples can—each week—be multiplied.
Isn’t
it time that the “deplorables” stopped giving
support to such dubious characters whose goals and objectives are like the deceptive
Pied Piper? What is really needed in
this critical age are “chevaliers sans peur”—champions without fear—willing to
go to bat for the heritage and traditions that have created our civilization
and culture. Nothing less will suffice.
